It was an epic saga of a birth. The choice to go to a facility where there were midwives 24/7 was key to our positive birth experience - not because we don't like doctors (in fact, we asked to have a doctor take over our care at one point because we liked her so much) but we hoped the midwife philosophy would prevail.

We found this to be true in all the people who cared for us, and it was one of the best things about my birth. (more)
