"All a baby really needs is a mothers arms, a mother's breasts and a mother's love." But some things can make life a little more enjoyable.
Fantastic
Finds:
Spasilk
Bodysuits - They only carry them at amazon.com but they are
honestly the best onesies ever. Super soft. And they fit Kate right home from
the hospital (and she was a skinny little thing). I keep buying larger sizes as
she grows.
Summer
Handheld Video Monitor - This was one of Ronna's recommendations - I thought
it was a total extravagance, but after using it for a week, I couldn't live without
it. Its the one thing that got me though Kate's first nights in her own room,
and through the first few times she slept through the night!
Must
Haves:
CD player (or other music playing device) that will repeat.
Collection
of lullabies that you LOVE because you will be listening to that CD repeatedly
every day for months.
Nightlight for the room where the baby is sleeping
Lots
of blankets - even if you think you don't need them, they just come in handy
Extra
pajamas for mama - because you never know when you're going to be spit up on in
the middle of the night
